The author has some 45 years’ experience of RF hardware design. To support the hardware designs the author has also written programmes in assembler, embedded C, visual C++ and pascal, both embedded and for PC.

The objective of RFBits.com is to offer a collection of RF related software that the author has independently created.

The initial offering on this RFBits.com web site was a Windows DSP receiver (Ortac_Rx), which has been in development for the last six years. Ortac_Rx has now been updated to Issue 8.

Ortac_AIS, a programme to receive and decode maritime AIS messages, although due an update, at this time remains at issue 6.

After a pause of 2 years, RFBits is now pleased to announce a new CW programme (CW_Shark) and a specialised SarSat decoder (Oratac_SarSat).
